Phone conversation between Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, acting President of Ukraine Oleksandr Turchynov and the US Secretary of State John Kerry was held on Saturday.
In the course of conversation, the Parties discussed developments in Crimea and attempts of military aggression on the Part of the Russian Federation.
“We consider conduct of the Russian Federation as direct aggression against the sovereignty of Ukraine,” stressed the Chairman of the Parliament, adding that he relies on the assistance of strategic partners of our state in settling this conflict.
The US Secretary of State reassured the Chairman that “America has been always standing and stands on guard of interests of sovereign states and will advocate democracy and freedom in Ukraine.”
